We are a regular’s bar, a second living room, or simply a feel-good oasis.

Legend has it that coachmen and merchants used to meet at the crossroads in front of our door. They gathered travelers and certainly one or two schnapps. Their route led through the city gates towards Riesa. The first official name mention as a tavern “Stadt Riesa” can be found as early as 1888.

Today, you’ll find everyone from fresh-hatched world explorers to retired professors here. Whether loud or quiet, singing, chatting, or smacking - everyone is welcome.

As colorful as our guests are, so is our menu of drinks and food. Always lovingly prepared and freshly cooked, we offer a daily changing menu, also with vegetarian and vegan dishes. On tap there is not only freshly tapped beer. Just come and see for yourself!

We want to do justice to all our guests, so we have decided not to take reservations. However, this has also led to one or two new friendships. If you are hungry and cannot find a seat, you are welcome to take your meal with you.
